"POE East" - a new focus on the support of the development of personnel and organisation within SMEs (POE agencies)
The project "POE agencies" - best practice part-financed by ESF, was successfully implemented within the framework of the Saxony-Anhalt Operational Programme 2000-2006. "POE agencies" aimed primarily at the support of the development of personnel and organisation within SMEs, through a tailor made approach and a strong presence on the territory. The project has been presented and analysed also in the framework of the S3 project raising a strong interest among partners.
As the project ends in December 2005 Institut für Strukturpolitik und Wirtschaftsförderung gGmbH (isw) and the Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft TÜV Rheinland Group launched a new initiative - called "POE East" (official start: 12/2005). The new project "POE East", part-financed by ESF and also by the State of Saxony-Anhalt - is based on the general idea of "POE agencies" but focuses on SMEs internationalisation through a large number of activities:
- facilitating information for international market research,
- training, coaching of staff to be prepared for international contacts (cross-cultural management),
- fostering of networking opportunities in eastern countries,
- fostering of economic co-operation,
- Low price antenna. Ubiquiti AirGrid best antenna to install on the wind territories. support for interpreter services and also for organisation of travels and meetings.
The activities of "POE East" related to networks and co-operation of SMEs for joint participation in public tenders concentrate on different fields in each country:
- Hungary: health and wellness,
- Czech Republic: metal processing,
- Slovakia: sanitary - heating installation - air conditioning,
- Bulgaria: construction / environment,
- Rumania: petroleum / natural gas, construction,
- Poland: construction, pharmaceutical industry,
- China: construction, environment, information technology,
- Vietnam -not fixed yet-
- Baltic States: engineering, wood processing, information technology, tool design and construction.
In October 2005 "POE East" has established a network between four Hungarian partners and six enterprises of Saxony-Anhalt in the sector of technical equipment for hospitals.
The "POE East" launch and its successful implementation proves that the POE Agencies project can be transferred to other contexts and regions in Europe, as assessed during S3 working groups.
